Mountain Music Melt Down’08 - 2 Days of Music, Food & Fun
The Adirondack Arc and Magic Hat Brewery present The Mountain Music Melt Down ‘08, a two day Music Festival featuring a mix of many genre’s of music covering bluegrass, jam, folk, country, rock, blues and world.

The festival will be presented at The North Country Community College, Soccer Field in Saranac Lake, New York on Saturday, August 9 from 12-9 p.m. and on Sunday, August 10 from 12-9 p.m. Gates will open at 11:30 am. There will be a Childrens Story Telling and Activities Tent. This is an event for the whole family.

This is an all weather event, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, but NO coolers please.

 

{ FESTIVAL PRIVATE CAMPING }
Off site camping will be available a the Hunt Farm, 1.5 miles from festival grounds. Private Adirondack camp sites with outdoor restrooms on McKenzie Pond Road setup exclusively for this year festival. For reservations and information call 518-637-4989 or click the link below for driving directions and maps. A shuttle will be available to the festival site from our private Adirondack campgrounds.

{ N.C.C.C LODGING & CAMPING }
On site lodging and camping will be available: This year we are offering on site lodging and several camping options. On site lodging and camping will be available through North Country Community College, Friday afternoon through Sunday at noon. Room rates are $25 per person, double occupancy. The food & beverage garden:
Offering a variety of tasty food and beverage options: The Adirondack Arc - Hamburgers and Soda, Woody’s Hot Dog Cart, The Masons - Italian Sausage and Peppers, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and Jreck Subs to name a few, we are looking for more restaurants who are interested in a spot in the food and beverage garden, call call 518-637-4989 for more information.
 
Merchandise and Craft Vendors:
Festival T-Shirts, hats, band apparel and other items will be available as well as other local and regional merchants and crafts people displaying their wares.
 
Childrens Story Telling and Activities Tent:
It is been told that James Barrie, author of Peter Pan, fashioned the Character Peter from his acquaintance with Robert Louis Stevenson. Educator, Song Writer and owner of the soon to open, RLS Tea Room, Rita Leonard will be presenting whimsical and Stevenson related activities for children and children at heart. The author and " pirate of the spring" who lived in Saranac Lake in the winter of 1887 - 1888 and adventured to the South Seas shall be remembered and honored at the Childrens Story Telling Tent. A presentation will be held on the hour commencing at 1:00 pm. throughout the day Saturday and Sunday free of charge.
 
The Adirondack Arc and fund raising opportunities:
This event is presented by Adirondack Arc and fund raising opportunities for this excellent community and national organization will be part of this years promotion. A Celebrity autographed guitar (Reverend Dare Devil 299 w/ P-90’s) provided by Saratoga Guitar will be auctioned off on Sunday at 6:00 pm. Sunday, August 10 will be dedicated to celebrating the Life and Music of Jerry Garcia (8/1/42 to 8/9/95) and sponsored by Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream featuring their name sake flavor Cherry Garcia with a portion of the ice cream sale benefiting The Adirondack Arc. Don’t miss The Adirondack Arc food booth featuring Great Burgers, Soft Drinks and Snacks or the 50/50 Raffle.
